Insight Into a Poet's Mind

Like Falling Leaves
You hear that, it’s the sound of falling leaves
And do you know what that means?
It means that He is near
But do not tremble and fear

You are in your darkest hour
Do you feel Him gaining power,
Its because you’re fading away
I’m afraid that this time you can’t stay

Like falling leaves you can’t last forever
I’ll never say never
But your dream is about to end
You tried your best, but this you could not defend

In the end you lose and He wins
And now your fall shall begin
You’re fading away into nothing
Too bad, you could have been something

Like falling leaves you fall into nothingness
In life, your bliss was your own ignorance
Your time and soul is fleeting
And by this you are feeding,

His insatiable hunger for life
Like the rest you will put up a bitter strife
But to no avail
Like the rest you shall fail

But like all the rest you shouldn’t fear
Like falling leaves you will be no where near here
You will take another form
But your body will be torn

Where you go no one will know
But He’ll take you there and show,
You, whether it be Heaven or Hell
Or a Cycle no one can tell

But He’ll take you there
So don’t be in despair
Like falling leaves you will cease
Now close your eyes, and Sleep.

Nauseated
Don’t you hate it
When you’re nauseated
From being sick in the mind
When all you can do is rewind,

All of your bad memories
All of your sad history
All of the things you want to forget
All the things you wish you hadn’t said

All of the hate inside your head
It consumes you and leaves you for dead
Dead as a person, dead in the soul
You have no choice but to lose control

The nausea, it leaves you empty inside
And in nothing to confide
All it leaves are tears
For your soul to be seared

I cry and I cry
And I hate the reason why
There’s nothing left in me
And the nausea is the reason that may be

I have no control over my emotions
They feel like internal explosions
The nausea, it will leave you in shame
In cold blood and in you to blame.

Muse
Oh Muse where are you?
Show me what is right and what is true
Show me about love and how to write
Bless me with your grace and show me the light

First I must find you, wherever you may be
Across the stars and across the galaxy
I will find you wherever you are
I’ll search high and low, near and far

I ask God to bless me with your grace
Oh how I long to see your beautiful face
Reside in my mind, live in my soul
Help me reach my destiny, help me reach my goals

When I find you we shall be like one
Help me find ideas not yet found under the sun
Muse, when I find you show me to be wise
Show me knowledge and wisdom that never dies

And Muse, be everything I want you to be
Be everything my soul wants to see
Muse, until the day we finally meet
My heart will never miss a beat.

Dead Roses
Look at all of the beautiful dead roses
So nice and eloquent in their stale poses
They look more precious than ruby gems
I wish I could pick a field of all of them

They have a bloody sanguine color
Because fresh roses are plain and duller
Dead roses have a more pleasant aroma
Powerful enough to knock lost souls out of their comas

Dead roses never cause any pain
Because fresh roses need tears as rain
Fresh roses require you to be sorry
Dead roses will never leave you weary

Dead roses with their nice dried petals
They joy they give me is never little
So when you give me flowers, give me dead roses
Give them to me in good health and in heavy doses.

Starry Night
What do we see when we look at the Stars
Things that are beautiful and very far
Some say they see the future
That everything becomes clearer

But I am sorry my friend
To that notion I must put an end
The Stars do not tell of the Beyond
They only tell of things past, things that are gone

The Stars only tell of the past
Yes, not even the brightest Stars can last
Stars are born, live, and die
They are like humans, but they do not lie

The Stars tell a story of ancient times
Our ancestors saw them, and of them wrote rhymes
They guided ancient mariners to and fro
To distant lands and finally home

Starry, Starry night
Starry sky filled with bright lights
The Star filled Heavenly Night Sky
Visions so beautiful to my eyes

The Stars we see may be gone
But when I see them they play a song
The Stars we see, the Stars we saw
The Starry Night Sky, will always keep me in awe
